Bruce Campbell has had a creative vision since childhood. Now he is 64 years old and enjoying his retired life. Campbell was an electrical engineer. He was a man of planning. Bruce Campbell bought 10-acre land in the woods of Hillsboro, Oregon, for $23,000. He knew what to do with this land. Campbell brought an old airplane to this land, making it the most unique home in the world.

You won’t believe your eyes when you see the inside of it.

Creative Mind and Plan

Campbell has been obsessed with old objects and creating new things out of them since he was a kid. He intended to use this plot of land to make a house for himself, which he intended to construct out of various freighters. No doubt that it was a highly creative idea. However, Campbell later learned about a house that someone else had constructed. Bruce Campbell learned about Mississippi-based hairstylist Joanne Ussery roughly 20 years after he planned his idea. She had purchased a Boeing 727 and turned it into a residence. She chose to restore an operational airplane close to a serene river because her former home had burned down. As a result, Campbell changed his ideas after giving them some thought.

He made a dramatic change in his ideas. Keep reading to find out.

For 100,000 dollars, Campbell bought a Boeing 727 from Olympic Airways in 1999. Now he had to find a way to transfer such a huge vehicle to the forest in Oregon. The airplane has to come from Athens, Greece. He had to face many issues in transporting the airplane. Not only this, but Campbell had to pay double for the plane due to this issue. So rather than paying $120,000 for a plane, he had to pay $220,000. He was ready to pay such an amount because he became obsessed with this idea.

Inside this airplane, you’ll see all the comforts you find in a regular house. Many original aspects of the airplane are never changed, including the toilet and original seats. However, Campbell added a sink and a washing machine to the airplane.

Modesty

This airplane is spacious, but Campbell likes to live a modest life inside his unique home made out of an airplane. There’s a futon he used to sleep on. Furthermore, he uses a microwave and a toaster to cook food. His daily food items include canned food and cereals. As a retired electrical engineer, Campbell built and added many equipments to Boeing 727.
